Sleaze Metal [8/10] [english version]

"The Guestz" are from Italy and the band was founded in Rome in 2006. You can definitely call their music typical 80s sleaze rock with a touch of kick ass r'n'r! There's a funny short anecdote about the band’s name: before the guys had a name for their band, they were booked for a show to open for Soul Doctor and Markonee. When Jonna saw the flyer "Soul Doctor + Markonee + Guests" he came to the idea that this was the perfect name for the band, since the flyers had already been printed.
Even though the Italians only offer 5 songs, they rock as hell. Singer "Mimmo God" starts with a firework in "Jonna wants two beers" and throws a kick ass song to us. Also "Piracy" is not bad at all and especially "House of Rock" is a true party song that will rock your house. Then we get on to "Naked Alice" which really hits it. Unfortunately, the record ends too soon, with "In the Blink of an Eye". For this ending track, the Italians worked again really hard to unleash a fat sleaze rock title that really gets it. The Guestz are another insider tip from Italy that people might talk very soon about. The rockers already got lots of live experience also as an opening act for Adam Bomb, Kee Marcello and Gemini Five. "Not for Money just for Glory" is a fresh and really cool album for all Sleaze Rock bands lovers from Italy and Sweden!
