Day three was scheduled to be longer than the others, because we
haven't been in the studio the previous morning.
We had no idea about what gear Jonna used to get his
sound and we were absolutely shocked to find out that he used an old
Peavey combo with a Marshall cabinet, especially because he was
supposed to use one of his roaring Peavy heads!
He explained that two things made his sound so great:
his hands, enpowered by the Bluetooth logo tattoo on his wrist...
...and his marvelous Gretsch Malcolm Young Signature
II
But before doing guitars, we had to finish the bass...
here's Rob pulling weird faces while playing:
Rob learned the importance of switching the tuner
off before starting to play:
After completing his sessions, Rob got a well
deserved beer and let Jonna go on with guitar duties.
Relax time: Jonna teaching the Piracy riff to Matt
The crunchy & crackin' sound of Jonna's Gretsch
proved to be absolutely awesome, and it's been great to see how
versatile is this guitar, too.
Of course, Jonna knew his parts quite good and Rob
and Matt hadn't much to do, so they dedicated to their favourite
business: Fifa World Cup on Nintendo DS and posting bulletins on
MySpace!
Like yesterday, Mimmo arrived in the early afternoon...
...and imediately greeted his beloved flatmate.
In order to save time, Rob asked him to write down
his details for his personale page on this website.
But soon Mimmo's skills proved to be not good enough...
And he needed Rob to help him - especially deciding
what brand of hair straightener to put in the Music Gear
section!
The afternoon went on smoothly, with Jonna recording
three rhythm tracks for each song.
Mirko on this desk - he's a workaholic!
Sonny Wild and Vinnie Daniels of Dirty Pleasure came
to visit us and enjoyed the beautiful sounds
And this is the video that sums up the entire day.
